Pelviscopic Intrafacial Hysterectomy

Abstract
Pelviscopic intrafascial hysterectomy is an intrafascial cylindriform enucleation of the cervix and supracervical amputation of the uterus, leaving intact the highly vascularized extrafascial cervical tissue, the corresponding nerve by operative laparoscopy(pelviscopy). The synthesis of supracervical amputation of the uterus, Ionization of the cervix, and pelviscopy. . enables to perform a rninimaily invasive surgery and organ-preserving surgery. Pelvic floor support is maintained and transvaginal sexual sensation is less likely to be impaired because of the preservation of the-cardinal and utermsacral ligaments. Physical stress to tine patient is minimized.
It may be sufficient for cervical and endometrial cancer prophylaxis.
We describe the technique of pelviscopic intrafacial hysterectomy and report our experience with the fast 47 cases from March 1993 to October 1994.
